Spring Events Cancelled

May 2020 update: please visit our NEWS SECTION for the most up-to-date information related to our closure and reopening after COVID-19.

The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is disappointed to announce that this year’s annual springtime events, EggStravaganZoo, Party for the Planet, and Mother’s Day at the Zoo, are cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 business closures. These events were originally scheduled for April 11th, April 25th, and May 10th, respectively. The Zoo will also be closed for Memorial Day on May 25th, and the Sweet Safari for Education, scheduled for the evening of June 5th, has also been cancelled.

We are fully aware that these events are part of your family traditions, and that they are “staples” in the lives of so many people in our community. We will miss having everyone at the Zoo as much as you will miss being here! We plan to hold a “zooper-duper” grand reopening event in the future, as soon as the Zoo can open once again. Stay tuned for more information on that event!

During this period of closure, our Animal Care team members are still working full-time to feed and care for the animals. They are, of course, our highest priority, and we are not wavering in our commitment to provide our animals with the same high level of quality care they’ve always received. It’s the level of care we are known for, and which has earned us national accreditation by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums.

From all the staff (and the animals!) here at the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park, we miss you and look forward to seeing you back here soon. In the meantime, consider following our social media pages, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to keep up-to-date with what’s going on at the zoo. You can even visit our YouTube Channel for a livestream of portions of the Zoo, including the otter pond – watch them eat breakfast each morning around 7:00 a.m. and lunch each day around noon!
