Winter Hours of Operation

Starting Monday, November 1st, Winter Hours of Operation will be in effect at the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park. The Zoo will be open seven days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, including on holidays. The Adventure Park will be closed for the season.

Tickets to visit the Zoo are available at the door and can be purchased online at As always, Zoo Pass Members do not need to make any reservations prior to visiting.

Although some animals have already moved (or will be moving soon) to their warmer, behind-the-scenes winter habitats, many of the zoo’s residents are more active and visible in cooler weather. Be sure to stop into the Giraffe Discovery Center, located in the Children’s Zoo, to warm up while saying hello to Nigel and Zuri. You can also warm up inside of the Education & Conservation Center, where a variety of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates are waiting to see you from their recently refreshed habitats.

Interested in adding something “extra” to your wintertime visit? Consider contacting us in advance to schedule a private Wild Encounter or other program. Visit our website at to learn more.

The NEW Zoo’s regular admission fees for 2021 are: Adults $11; Children (ages 3-15) & Seniors (62+): $8; and Children under 3: Free.
