SUMMARY:Party for the Penguins
DESCRIPTION:We hope you can waddle on into the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park for our annual Party for the Penguins! Join us from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday\, July 17th to celebrate penguins and help us raise funds for African penguin conservation. This event is free with regular zoo admission.  \nAn ocean of fun activities will be available throughout the day\, including games and crafts\, penguin encounters\, educational displays\, and a Penguin Merchandise Sales Table featuring a variety of penguin-themed crafts and gifts. All sales from the Merchandise Sales Tables and the Mayan Restaurant’s slushies will support penguin conservation. An African Penguin Chat will take place at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the front of the penguin habitat\, and opportunities will also be available throughout the day to purchase penguin feeding tickets – quantities will be limited! For an extra bit of fun\, the Brown County Farm Bureau will be on-site giving away tasty ice cream treats while supplies last – look for their tent in the Kids’ Zone near the zoo’s main entrance! \nWeather permitting\, guests can ride the Endangered Species Carousel and enjoy face paintings provided by Face Painting Plus by Lori & Friends. Our new bounce house with slide will be available for kids to enjoy\, too\, thanks to Dan Dery of Shefchiks’ Energy Services. \nAfrican penguins are a critically endangered species. Populations have declined nearly 97% to fewer than 10\,000 breeding pairs. The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is proud to work in collaboration with other AZA accredited zoos to protect penguins across the globe. Proceeds from the Party for the Penguins event support penguin conservation programs funding rescue and rehabilitation\, habitat restoration\, population monitoring\, and sustainable fishing efforts in the penguins’ native homes. \nBuy Zoo Tickets

SUMMARY:Twilight Tours on the Canopy Tour
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the evening sights and sounds of the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park on a Twilight Tour on the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour! Join us on select evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for family-friendly\, outdoor fun. This year’s dates are: \n\nMay 23\nJune 20\nJuly 18\nAugust 15\nSeptember 19\n\n“Twilight Tours have quickly become a fan-favorite experience\,” says Nathaniel Wagner\, Adventure Park Supervisor. “Guests have really enjoyed being here in the evening hours\, when the Zoo itself is closed. You get to see animals at a time when no one else usually does\, and many of them are especially active as they get settled in for the night.” \nThe zoo’s big cats seem to enjoy watching guests on the Twilight Tours\, too! The experience provides a perfect view of the African lions and the snow leopards. Snow leopard Ahava seems to love interacting with guests on Twilight Tours\, often jumping up to the top of the rock pile to be practically face-to-face with people\, where she can watch and follow them\, even running back and forth a bit. \nTickets for the Twilight Tours will be available at the Adventure Park’s Base Camp Building at the time of the events. The final tour each evening will depart at 7:30 p.m. Regular prices for the Canopy Tour will apply: Adults – $8; Seniors (62+) and Kids (3-15) – $6; and Kids under 3 – Free.
