The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is happy to announce that summer is officially starting at the Zoo this weekend! As of this Saturday, May 24th, the popular and highly requested Penguin and Pelican Feeding Experiences are back on a daily basis, along with two new-for-summer behind-the-scenes experiences: Snow Leopard and Aldabra Tortoise VIP Experiences. A variety of other free, educational, and hands-on Discovery Stations will also be available throughout the day according to the following schedule:

Free Daily Discovery Stations:

• 9:00-10:00 a.m. African Penguin Discovery Station – in front of the African Penguin Habitat
• 10:30-11:30 a.m. Whooping Crane Discover Station – in front of the Whooping Crane Habitat
• 12:30-1:30 p.m. Bald Eagle Discovery Station – inside the Aviary
• 2:00-3:00 p.m. Big Cats Discovery Station – beside the Lion and Snow Leopard Habitats

Tickets will also be available for a variety of Zookeeper-lead experiences:

• 10:00 a.m. Snow Leopard VIP Experience
• 12:00 p.m. Pelican Feeding Experience
• 12:30 p.m. Penguin Feeding Experience
• 1:30 p.m. Aldabra Tortoise VIP Experience

Tickets for feeding the penguins, pelicans, and going behind-the-scenes at the Snow Leopard and Aldabra Tortoise habitats are limited, so we strongly encourage guests to purchase those in advance online at newzoo.org. A variety of other private Wild Encounter programs that provide up-close encounters with several of the zoo’s residents are also available for sale online for the summer months. The Giraffe Feeding Experience remains open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. this time of year. The Children’s Zoo Feeding Experience will also be open most days from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the summer season, and the zoo’s Endangered Species Carousel will operate most days from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There are times when experiences may close early or stay open a little later, depending on weather and attendance.

The Adventure Park is also officially open fully for the season as of May 24th! Tickets are available online for the Ropes Course and Climbing Wall, Zipline, and Kids Course.
