The NEW Zoo Education Team is proud to announce the launch of several new virtual experiences. Our “Zoo to You Virtual Programs” get students up-close and personal with NEW Zoo experts and live Animal Ambassadors from the comfort of your classroom (or from your students’ own homes!). We offer two formats of Virtual Programs designed to meet the current needs of classrooms across the country, including both live, interactive video chats designed for single classrooms of students, and pre-recorded, custom videos that can be downloaded and shared with multiple classrooms.

Custom Videos (Start at $50)

• Enjoy a custom-made, pre-recorded video you can share with your students at any time! Choose one of a variety of Animal Ambassadors to be the focus of your video. Our Zoo Educators will introduce your students to the animal and share a variety of fun facts, including information on the species’s natural habitat and adaptations, along with information about the individual animal and their personality
• Videos will be approximately 5 to 7 minutes long
  • Longer videos may be available for an additional fee
• A link will be provided to download your video after its completion
• For an additional fee, we can provide hands-on activities to supplement your video(s)
  • Prices start at $15 per craft, per video
  • If you need the supplies, we can provide those, too! Prices for craft supplies start at just $2 per student
  • We will contact you to discuss the options for your craft, and then invoice you for those related fees
• Animal options include a variety of lizards, snakes, turtle/tortoise, cockroaches, frogs, and more; a full list of species will be provided with the reservation form

Live Video Chats

• A Zoo Educator will greet your students and introduce them to live Animal Ambassadors. Choose from two different program lengths to meet your needs:

Zoo to You Meet & Greet ($50): Meet two live animals during a 20 to 25 minute session. Select two Animal Ambassadors to be the focus our session. Our Zoo Educator will introduce your students to the animals and share a variety of fun facts, including information on the species’s natural habitat and adaptations, along with information about the individual animals and their personalities. Teachers and/or students may compile a list of questions ahead of time for us to answer, or we’re happy to provide a more conversational experience based on your preferences. Animal options include a variety of lizards, snakes, turtle/tortoise, cockroaches, frogs, and more; a full list of species will be provided with the reservation form

Zoo to You Virtual Class ($100): For teachers looking for a longer, more in-depth experience, choose one of our standard field trip Zoo Class programs to enjoy virtually. During a Virtual Class, students will meet four Animal Ambassadors and have opportunities to ask questions. These programs will be more focused on a specific topic, such as: habitats, adaptations, classification, or conservation. Please note:

• Programs must be paid for in-full within one week of making your reservation
• In the event that you need to reschedule, we will work with you to confirm a new reservation. You must contact us by 8:30am on the day of your scheduled program in order to reschedule, otherwise your program will be considered cancelled; if you need to reschedule your program more than once, a $10 processing fee will be required

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made prior to one week before the program date will be refunded all but a $10 processing fee
• Cancellations made between 1 and 7 days of the program date will be refunded 50% of the program fee
• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the program date will not be refunded
