The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is excited to celebrate Father’s Day with FREE admission for dads to the NEW Zoo and to the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour this Sunday, June 16^th. Discounts will be available at the door.

Consider treating dad to something a little “extra WILD” as you plan your visit! Tickets for our Pelican Feeding Experience remain available, as are tickets for few different Wild Encounter programs. (Don’t delay purchasing those tickets online, as Feedings and Encounters often sell out in advance!)

There’s plenty of other activities to do throughout the day, too. The zoo’s newest residents, two baby Virginia opossums, will be viewable through the side window at the Aldabra tortoise habitat, so be sure to peek inside to see them! These adorable young sisters will eventually participate in the zoo’s educational programs, but until they grow big enough for their permanent outdoor habitat, and while they get to know their caretakers, they’ll remain in this temporary home in the tortoise building.

Before (or after!) you peek in on the opossums, stop at some of our free summer Discovery Stations! These hands-on learning and activity stations occur at 9:00 a.m. (African Penguin Station), 10:00 a.m. (Bald Eagle & Pelican Station), 11:00 a.m. (Whooping Crane Station), and 1:00 p.m. (African Lion Station), and, as always, the Giraffe Feeding Experience will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weather permitting, both the Endangered Species Carousel and the Children’s Zoo Feeding will also be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For the bravest of dads (and kids!), the Adventure Park offers an assortment of choose-your-own-adventure experiences, all of which you can learn about and purchase tickets for on our website.

The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Father’s Day, this Sunday, June 16^th. The final tour for the Canopy Tour will depart at 5:30 p.m.
