Join the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park and the Green Bay Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) for International Red Panda Day on Saturday, September 21st, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This event is FREE with regular Zoo admission.
Stop by the red panda habitat to learn more about these endangered animals at our Red Panda Activity Station, where kids can enjoy crafts and coloring pages, and check out the sales table with red panda themed merchandise – including paintings made by the NEW Zoo’s very own resident red pandas! Guests can also enjoy several presentations throughout the day, including Zookeeper Chats with training and enrichment demonstrations at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. respectively, along with a Red Panda Feeding at 1:45 p.m.
Funds raised during this event will support red panda conservation through the Red Panda Network. Less than 10,000 red pandas exist in the world today, with as few as 2,500 red pandas remaining in the wild. That means this endangered species needs our help now, more than ever. Red Panda Network is a non-profit organization that is committed to the conservation of wild red pandas and their habitat. Through community-based research, outreach, and education programs, Red Panda Network has reached significant milestones in Nepal. Learn more at redpandanetwork.org.
