The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park and Meijer invite you to join us for Meijer Day at the Zoo this Friday, August 18^th. Enjoy a “final hurrah” of the summer: the first 500 children will receive FREE admission to the zoo, compliments of Meijer! This discount will be available at the door starting at 9:00 a.m. when the zoo opens. Children must be accompanied by a paid adult.

“Meijer has been such a wonderful community partner,” says Carmen Murach, NEW Zoo Director. “We are excited they provide this opportunity for free zoo admission to children. Meijer Day at the Zoo allows us to reach guests who may not otherwise be able to visit, and we are grateful for the support.”

For those who haven’t visited recently, be sure to check out some of the zoo’s newest additions. Two African cape porcupines, Flapjack and Wilma, can be found across from Georgia’s Kitchen Nutrition Center, not far from the black bear habitat. The laughing kookaburras also have new “roommates” – a pair of tawny frogmouths! Look for those feathered friends in their habitat beside the playground near the Mayan Restaurant.

The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is currently open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Regular zoo admission rates are Adults: $11; Children (3-15) and Seniors (62+): $8; Kids under 3: Free.
