Enjoy the evening sights and sounds of the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park on a Twilight Tour on the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour! Join us on select Saturdays each month coming up – June 22nd, July 20th, August 24th, and September 21st – from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

“Last year’s series of Twilight Tours was a success,” says Nathaniel Wagner, Adventure Park Supervisor. “We’re excited to offer dates again this year. Guests really enjoyed the Canopy Tour experience in the evening hours, when the Zoo itself is closed. You get to see the animals at a time when no one else usually does, and many of them are active as they get settled in for the night.”

The zoo’s big cats especially seem to enjoy watching guests on the Twilight Tours, too! The Canopy Tour provides a perfect view of the African lions and the new snow leopard habitat. Curator of Animals, Drew Dinehart, adds, “Last year, our snow leopard Ahava seemed to love interacting with guests on the Twilight Tours. She jumped up to the top of the rock pile to be practically face-to-face with people, where she could watch and follow them, running back and forth a bit. African lion, Loid, frequently calls in the evening hours as part of his “usual” routine, too, and it’s so much fun to watch him and listen to him roar.”

Tickets for the Twilight Tours will be available at the Adventure Park’s Base Camp Building at the time of the events. The final tour each evening will depart at 7:30 p.m. Regular prices for the Canopy Tour will apply: Adults – $8; Seniors (62+) and Kids (3-15) – $6; and Kids under 3 – Free.
