Summer Fun Returns

The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is pleased to announce that summer is officially starting at the Zoo this weekend! As of this Saturday, June 1st, the popular and highly requested Otter Feeding Experiences are back, joining the Penguin and Pelican Feeding Experiences, and a variety of free educational and hands-on Discovery Stations that will be available throughout the day. Discovery Stations will occur at 9:00 a.m. (African Penguin Station), 10:00 a.m. (Bald Eagle & Pelican Station), 11:00 a.m. (Whooping Crane Station), and 1:00 p.m. (African Lion Station) every day of the week through August.

Tickets for feeding the penguins, pelicans, and otter are limited, so we strongly encourage guests to purchase those online in advance. A variety of private Wild Encounter programs that provide up-close encounters with several of the zoo’s residents are also available for sale online for the summer months. They’re a WILD way to add something special to your day! Learn more about Wild Encounters and reserve yours at newzoo.org.

With June’s arrival also comes the return of our Wild Wednesdays – which means that regular admission to the NEW Zoo and to the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour will be half price starting at 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday in June, July, and August. Wild Wednesday discounts are available at the door.

As always, the Giraffe Feeding Experience is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The zoo’s Endangered Species Carousel and the Children’s Zoo Feeding Experience will also be open most days from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the summer season. There are times when experiences may close early or stay open a little later, depending on weather and attendance. The Adventure Park is also open for the season and tickets are available online for the Ropes Course and Climbing Wall, Zipline, and Kids Course. Make your reservations today at newzoo.org.

The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m throughout the summer.
